A cleaning woman lets herself into an apartment. She sees the mess and says, "Mr. Parsons, this time it's going to cost you extra." She hears a noise and follows the sound. A black cat comes screeching out of the tub from behind the shower curtain. After a quick moment to get over the fright, the cleaning woman walks over to the shower curtain and yanks it back. Lying in the tub is Mr. Parsons, dead and covered in cat litter. "Oh Mr. Parsons," she says.

In the squadroom, McGee is sitting at his desk, feet propped chuckling at something on his screen. Vance walks up behind him, "Agent McGee." McGee quickly drops his feet and hits a button on his keyboard. Vance asks about Ziva and Tony. They were supposed to contact him before they left with his witness and he should have heard from them by now. McGee tells him their flight was delayed. Vance asks if he's sure because Paris can be awfully hard to leave. "Not for them, no, Tony and Ziva don't like traveling together much. Actually they don't like doing much of anything together. I think it's safe to say they are not enjoying themselves very much right now," McGee responds. Vance tells him that SecNav wants the witness in D.C. by the following morning. "Where the hell are they?" Vance asks.
